Styria, industry, universities and pioneering spirit between Voest, AVL and FH JOANNEUM, is already rethinking what technology means for it. Kleine Zeitung supports this as media partner. Vehicle and powertrain engineering as a data engine
Styria is Austria's mobility cluster: AVL List in Graz (powertrain, simulation and testing technology), Magna Steyr as a contract manufacturer and the ACstyria network bundle vehicle expertise. Here AI is concrete: in simulation and testing, in manufacturing quality assurance and in data-driven development of new powertrains.

Research density with its own data and AI center
With the University of Graz, TU Graz, FH JOANNEUM and the Know-Center (competence center for data science and AI), Graz has a rare density of research. This combines fundamentals, applied data science and industry transfer, a breeding ground for AI applications that emerge from within the region.

Green Tech Valley: energy and environmental technology
An internationally visible cluster for energy and environmental technology has formed around Graz (photovoltaics, biomass, circular economy). In energy management, grid and plant optimization, and recycling processes, forecasting and data models deliver measurable benefit instead of abstract promises.

Behind the flagship companies stands a broad materials and supplier industry, from voestalpine sites through AT&S (printed circuit boards, Leoben) to specialized mid-sized firms.
