General Terms and Conditions

Note: This is a non-binding English translation. The legally binding version of these terms is the German original (AGB).
Bridge-phase reservation: These Terms exist in Version 1.0 (as of May 2026) and remain subject to legal review until Q4 2026. The contracting-party data and provisions contained here are binding but may be clarified or supplemented during the final review. In particular, cancellation terms, payment terms and jurisdiction clauses are being finalized by legal counsel. In case of ambiguity or dispute, the respective current version of these Terms applies.
Compliance note (see docs/COMPLIANCE.md): Three separate Terms segments, because the contracting party differs depending on the service:
  • §3 ahead-x tickets, contracting party: M&K Event GmbH (AT editions 2026)
  • §4 ahead x labs workshops, currently invitation-only, contracting-party logic will be defined in the build phase
  • §5 ahead x future application, invitation-only
To be reviewed by a lawyer before publication. Ticket sales are subject to the KSchG (AT), BGB §§ 312 ff. (DE), OR (CH).

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all services offered via the website ahead.at. Three service areas with partly different contracting parties:

  • ahead x, public educational events: M&K Event GmbH as organizer
  • ahead x labs, bookable workshops for teams: invitation-only during the 2026 bridge phase, contracting-party logic still being clarified
  • ahead x future, leader briefings: invitation-only

2. Contracting party

For each service area, the respectively named contracting party applies (see §3 / §4 / §5). The brand and domain owner of the platform is Shink Big LLC, Florida (see the Legal Notice). The LLC is not the contracting party for ticket / workshop / application services.

3. Tickets for ahead-x events (M&K Event GmbH)

The contracting party for ahead-x tickets is M&K Event GmbH, FN 638216 d, registered office Europastraße 10, 5020 Salzburg, Austria. Tickets purchased via external platforms (Eventbrite) are additionally subject to the terms applicable there.

3.1 Conclusion of contract

The contract is concluded upon confirmation of the booking by email. The display of tickets on the website or platform is an invitation to submit an offer, not a binding offer.

3.2 Prices & payment

Prices at the time of booking incl. statutory value-added tax. Standard price € 49,– per person. A discount may be available via media-partner codes (conditions are communicated through the respective partner). Payment in advance via the offered methods.

3.3 Right of withdrawal

For online bookings of tickets for a specific event on a fixed date (leisure service), there is no statutory right of withdrawal under § 18 Abs. 1 Z 10 FAGG (AT) or § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB (DE).

Goodwill of M&K Event GmbH: Up to 14 days before the event, refund on request (less € 5,– processing fee). After that, transfer to another person is possible; please notify hello@aheadx.at in good time.

3.4 Postponement / cancellation

In the event of postponement, the ticket remains valid for the new date. If the new date does not suit you: full claim to a refund. In the event of cancellation by M&K Event GmbH: full claim to a refund. Further claims for damages are excluded, to the extent permitted by law.

3.5 House rules

M&K Event GmbH reserves the right to refuse entry to persons who, through their behavior, significantly disturb other guests, speakers or the course of the event. No claim to a refund.

4. Workshops (ahead x labs)

Status 2026: ahead x labs is invitation-only during the bridge phase. Open booking via the web is disabled. The contracting-party logic (M&K Event GmbH vs. another licensee for DE / CH workshops) will be finalized with a lawyer in the build phase.

Workshops will be made available again on an individual-request basis, after the respective contracting-party constellation has been clarified, from 2027 onwards. The respective contract details are defined in the individual offer.

Planned standard cancellation conditions (for information):

  • More than 30 days before the workshop: free of charge
  • 14–30 days before the workshop: 50 % of the fee
  • Less than 14 days before the workshop: 100 % of the fee

5. ahead-future briefings

Status: ahead x future is permanently invitation-only. There is no open booking. Participation takes place following application and selection by the curation team.

An application gives rise to no claim to participation. Upon confirmation of the invitation and payment of the respective contributions, the participation commitment is deemed a contract. The contracting party is the entity named in the respective invitation letter.

6. Sponsoring & partnerships

Sponsoring agreements are concluded individually in writing, as a rule between the sponsor and M&K Event GmbH (for AT editions). The tier descriptions named on the partner page on the web are non-binding indications, not an offer.

7. Data protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our privacy policy.

8. Applicable law & place of jurisdiction

For contracts with M&K Event GmbH (ahead-x tickets): the law of the Republic of Austria, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is the AT registered office of M&K Event GmbH, unless mandatory consumer-protection provisions stand in the way.

For brand-/domain-related disputes against Shink Big LLC: the applicable law and place of jurisdiction are determined on a case-by-case basis under international private law.

9. Severability clause

Should any provision of these Terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its economic purpose.
