• Silicon Alps: microelectronics as the lead industry

  Carinthia is at the core of the Silicon Alps semiconductor hub, anchored among other things by the large Infineon plant in Villach. Microelectronics, sensor technology and power electronics generate enormous volumes of process and test data, in which AI for production control, quality and yield optimization is already everyday practice and not a promise for the future.
